[QUOTE="CobraBob, post: 16527300, member: 6727"] Corporations have capitalized on data collected through the Internet (Google, Facebook, social media, etc.) for years, and it will only get worse as far as privacy invasions, especially now that the extreme progressives/left/Dems are on the cusp of taking over the leadership of our country. For them, it's about making money off of our private data (how we drive, where we go). Cars today monitor our mods, our driving practices, where we go, where we are, where we came from, etc. They already infringe on our privacies. How long before a driver gets an automatic ticket for exceeding the speed limit or running a light, or violating a curfew. Yeah, this might seem like it's not a big thing to worry about as far as most of us go, but it's just another ax chop to our privacies. Subtle, but alarming. I expect that privacy rights groups will work to provide consumers the right to opt out of much of the private data collected on motor vehicles. That SHOULD be our right. But at what point does it become mandated, like the proposed First Amendment change to make "hate" speech a crime. If we lose any rights to opt out of private data collected, we allow Big Brother to monitor our lives day and night. If that ever happens, we're screwed to the point where only a revolution would be the answer. Americans definitely should be concerned about these seemingly subtle and growing privacy infringements.
