Yeah, what is the point of fixing a problem that does not exist?Both the hood and the trunk cover are composites already. Or are you looking for even less weight or a different look?

If you want to lighten the car up a bit... I'd look into composit doors. (assuming that they make aftermarket doors like that)

The stock piece is a composite of metal and plastic. He likely wants a composite carbon fiber hood. Much lighter.
