Almost all of us have it and if you don't yet you will, the infamous mirror shake. Well I got sick of it and made a fix..... and it works! Simply pop the mirror out of the housing, remove the worn out loose fitting foam isolater disk and replace with my thicker better fitting disk...... say goodbye to shaky mirrors!

I installed my sideview mirror pad from quick88lx last year and just wanted to report that it is still working. I only had bad shake on the drivers side, the passenger side has been fine.

Since this, I totally notice drivers side mirror shake on my other cars! Seems this is a common problem across car manufacturers and I bet quick88lx could make a small business supplying a side view mirror fix for every make and model.

INSTALLATION :

First press the bottom inner corner of your mirror in (or adjust with motor within the car) like pictured

While holding corner in place slide your fingers with other hand behind outer top corner of mirror. Gently grasp and pull till u feel/ hear the six retainer clips let go of mirror motor

Remove worn isolater and replace with new isolater NOTE: MAKE SURE SMALL CUTOUTS LINE UP WITH THE TWO SMALL TABS ON TOP AND BOTTOM OF CUP. ALSO MAKE SURE ISOLATER IS FULLY SEATED IN CUP BELOW THE SIX RETAINING TABS!

time to reinstall .....

Make sure to line top and bottom tab points up with the tabs on the mirror cup if they don't line up isolater just needs to be flipped over

once your sure it's aligned apply moderate equal pressure over the whole surface of the mirror to press back onto motor ( i use 2 different methods. first being with the mirror properly positioned apply pressure just outside the ring area in small sections working around the area of the ring seating the clips. also you can try using both palms applying pressure to just outside the ring area.

TO ENSURE PROPER INSTALLATION I STRESS USING THE NEXT STEP TO TEST JUST PRESSING HARDER ON THE MIRRORS YOU RUN THE RISK OF BREAKING MIRROR

Lastly for peace of mind I put one finger behind mirror and apply some pressure to make sure all six tabs are engaged. If they aren't it will pop back off very easily so be ready to catch it! When properly installed one finger preassure should not be able to remove

Damn I wish I knew about this a couple of months back before I bought another used mirror to replace my shaky one. Body shop told me it couldn't be fixed so I took his word for it like a dumb ass. At least I sold my old one to even out the purchase, but this would have saved me time and a little cash on top. Just sent you payment. Thanks for making this fix! :thumbsup:
