VSS (vehicle speed sensor) question

Anybody ever replaced one of these? My spedometer has been malfunctioning intermitenly over the past year but has now completely quit working, and now my CEL light is on. The code is a malfunctioning VSS. Just wondering if anyone has replaced one of these and if so how did it go? Thanks..:beer:

Just an update in case somebody searches for this topic someday......

I did a little more research and found that a lot of times the wiring near the computer behind the kickpanel is faulty. Sure enough when I checked it that was the problem. A very easy fix and I didn't have to fork out money for a stupid sensor..:beer:
