I am in the middle of installing a vortech aftercooled system on my 2001 mustang GT. Can someone share pictures of their install? mainly looking for pictures/info on the following:

1. How the heat exchanger was mounted
2. How the plumbing for the bypass valve was done when using an AFM powerpipe.

I am wondering if I can mount the heat exchanger against the bumper support so the configuration is similar to that of the 03/04 cobras? Will the coolant still flow through the heat exchanger properly this way even though the inlet and outlet will be at the bottom?

There is not much room between the powerpipe and the aftercooler. I am having trouble getting bypass valve set up between the power pipe and the aftercooler.

Thanks in advance!

I don't know how much this will help but I'll give it a shot... Last year I bought a 97 Cobra Vert that had an aftercooled Vortech setup on it and I had the engine/trans/SC setup pulled to go in my 92 Coupe build. We have some pics from the disassembly process so maybe this will help but it's all out of the car now so I can't get anything else/better for you.

Here's a pic with the bumper off, and also a video my builder sent me when he began tear down last year.

Mounting the heat exchanger that way is fine.

Unless something changes I remember the supplied heat exchanger being tiny. I would look into an upgrade.
