Car show in a small town up here did a 100' drag race on a side street. So I entered to see how I could do . I know, a 100' drag race is lame, but it was still fun. And I was able to get exhaust vids! Granted, they sound like crap over computer speakers after being compressed by youtube. They sound better in person, I promise :-D

First run, went through the traps in second with the tires still spinning. 4.4xx ET

Second and best run. I was able to get traction, but hit the rev limited about 5' before the traps. 3.6xx ET

Burnout before the third run. Notice the complete lack of smoke, these tires are waaaay too hard.

And the third run, I tried shifting early into second to see if it helped my ET. It didnt, and I spun too much on the line again. 4.1xx ET

First 100' race I've ever seen. Interesting. But what is REALLY interesting is your 5.0 GT. Nice color. Sounds awesome. Best of luck with it!

How are the tires too hard? They have a 100 tread wear rating. Also how do you trip the beams in the 3-4 second range when I hit the 60' at the track in 1.5 in my truck? It also didnt look like the 3-4 second range looked much faster.

Car sounds good though.

They have this one night a week on the straight of a circle track around here. I might check it out some time because you get alot of runs I think, and I figure it'll be good practice for the next time I line up with someone at a stoplight, haha.

Thats different never heard or seen anything like that! Then again look were I live!:bash:

This was in Dutton Montana, no less rural than you hahaha

@ everyone else: I have never heard of this either. It was set up on a side street with a portable tree and lasers. I did it because how often to you get to do burnouts and drive fast(ish) with cops watching and not get in trouble? Would have been fun if any of us could have got traction. Even that built nova was only running a 3.1 second 100'.
