Video question

I'm trying to make my first video, everything is going pretty good but, the video is 160,000 KB. Its only 48 sec's long.. Are you guys compressing them??? Also I will need to find out how to post it...

Sound like your video is still uncompressed avi, you need to render it to mpg/avi/wmv/whatever you like to make it smaller.

When I e-mailed it to a friend, it went down to 500KB as wmv... I'm very new to this, thanks for the help...
