If he’s on E85 I’d expect those numbers.

Can’t recall the name but the dude who bought Kevin’s car makes 711rwhp on 21 psi Gen 2 2.3

Ya that's me. It actually makes 714.....but more importantly is the TQ. 680. It makes 600 immediately off idle. The 680 peaks about 3800. Pretty much 100ft lbs across the rev band over those dynos Kona posted. Street light to street light TQ. This is a gen2 2.3 whipple, 2.6 upper/factory lower, 22psi. Factory manifolds. E85

So, as I've read thru the years the whipple "makes no TQ.....the low end is pathetic" .....I've always scratched my head like "huh?!....that's news to me. My 5 rear tire purchases would disagree."

That's why I asked. I realize with the difference in blower sizes it'll never be a real apples to apples comparison. But as I mentioned earlier something is always changed when the blowers are swapped. I'm sure the 2.9 would've behaved a little different with an extra PSI. I remember going from 12 to 14psi on my D1 made it a completely different animal.

Correct. You’re spinning a 2.8 upper like 35% faster than a 3.5 upper.
