Thats what happens when the stock hardware is pushed way beyond its limits. The rods let go in a BIG way..........I will have post mortem pics soon.........

Yeah, we removed the upper manifold cover yesturday and there is shrapnel in the lower manifold with oil. It was definitely a very catastrophic end........

Yeah, had something very similar happen to my 98 T/A, but mine happened at the track.
