Selling my Venmo V-39 Coca Cola Machine.

Come with a few spare parts, service manual, etc. Pictures show condition. Does not have a plug on it. Great for a restoration project. I bought it with hopes of restoring it but lost interest and it's taking up space.

Asking $1750 obo. Located in Waterbury, CT.

Thanks

Ray

That's really cool! I love the look of it the way it is. It would be a great addition to my garage, but a bit more than I can afford. Plus I know there is a hardcore group of people who buy vintage Coca-Cola advertisements, memorabilia, and more. There is definitely a buyer for that somewhere.

Bob,

It's been on facebook marketplace and offer up literally for 6 months (along with my snap on tool box) and I've gotten nothing but people making insane low ball offers, wasting my time, people "on their way" and never showing up etc. Sad world we live in.

I deactivated my FB years ago and only activated it again around the end of 2020 when I was searching for a 4-eye Fox. After 3-4 months of searching everywhere on the internet, I finally found a clean, rust-free one. So I left my FB active to look at all the Mustang classified groups and would find decent deals every now and then, but noticed people making a bunch of low ball offers on things like used Vortech kits, Kooks/ARH LTs, fully built SBs, etc. I would see people selling a older early gen. Vortech V3 Si kits (non-self contained) for $2500 and people wouldn't even send the person a message and would just post a comment under the ad asking "would you take $1700 for it."

It's already a good deal, and then, what i'm guessing are 20 year olds low ball the hell out of people. They probably can't even afford $2500, nor can the afford $1700, and are hoping the person says yes so they can ask their parents for the money.

So true, the world is truly pathetic. My snap on box has been on fb market place for literally firm. I put all the dimensions in the listing, the link to it on snap on’s website which goes into more detail. People message me:

“How wide is it?” “How tall is it?” “How old is it?” “$500”…

Or my favorite “I get paid Friday can we meet Friday?” Dude if you have to wait to get paid to afford a $1500 tool box you should get your priorities in order.

I completely forgot about that aspect. You have no idea how many times i've done something like, "Blower cams for 96-04 2V Mustangs. Custom made by Livernois, 230/240 @0.50 with an LSA of 113"

Then some complete moron will ask me..."who made the cams? what are the specs? what is the LSA? WIll these fit on my 95' 5.0 Mustang?

Either that, or they ask for all the specs, detailed photos, and I show them, before and after power numbers of what I made on the dyno and they completely seem like legit buyers with the proper car that is supercharged and that so I have no doubt they could be a potential buyer. Then, after days of communicating with them, then ask me, "will you take $250 for them?" That's after I have them listing for $575 perhaps.

Completely made up scenario, but I did have a set of custom turbo grind cams from Livernois at one point.

I don't get that either when they have to wait to get paid to buy a performance car part, especially if it's something that is over $1000. We all know the hobby of cars is an extremely expensive one. You (people in general) should have a discretionary fund set aside.

I just happen to have 2 really expensive hobbies, watches and cars. So I usually have to take a break for a few months to pick a Breitling, Omega, Glashutte Original, Nomos Glashutte, Rolex, Tudor, Grand Seiko, or many other Swiss, German, or Japanese watches. I have completely curbed my watch purchases lately since i'm about to get my Fox tuned along with some other work. Plus I have a couple grand in brand new suspension parts to install with my friend who also has an 86 GT. I was just waiting until my car was tuned before I do all that work.

Also, congrats on selling that Coke machine so quickly!

It truly is pathetic, to the point that I literally never want to "sell" anything ever again.

I'm glad the coke machine is gone but I sadly sold it way too cheap. It's pathetic but I wanted it gone and in the 6 months I had it listed only one person came to look at it.

We chatted about this before but I love watches as well! Time to take a break from cars/toys and focus on watches haha.

Ah yes, I remember. You showed me all your Citizens. Funny coincidence, last night a WUS forum member offered to trade me his Citizen Signature Octavia BL5460-51E for my Hamilton Jazzmaster Auto. Chronograph. He told me when he PM'd me first that he was looking to trade his watch for mine and add cash on top. When I asked him how much cash, he asked me what I think would be a fair amount.

I was extremely diligent and took 5 different new models of his exact watch from different sources and came up with an average price from that and I said I would base the price of his watch on that average amount. His watch was like new, but not brand new, so I even gave him the benefit of it being a new watch. Then I took my Hamilton and used the price I listed it for, subtracted the difference of the value of his watch, and came up with $373 that would be the amount of cash I would need to make the deal even. Without even him replying, I said I would even subtract $50 since it's the Holidays. I was PM'ing him back and forth and he would reply lightning fast. As soon as I explained the value of his watch, and the amount of cash that would be needed on top to equal the value of my watch, all of a sudden his lighting fast replies turned into no reply at all. I have no idea what he expected. Did he think I would ask for him to add $100 or $150 to the deal on top of his watch?

He was the one asking me how much cash to add to the deal. He could of at least countered or have the common decency to tell me it was a deal too rich for him.

Congrats on selling the Coke Machine, even if it wasn't exactly what you were looking for.

I was looking for a pre-owned Tudor BB58 in Navy Blue for a while and just couldn't find one (or the person was a nutjob and was asking the same price as a brand new one), so I just stopped looking for the time being. Then a member on those forums offered me a Tudor BB58 for some watches I had and my Heuer Heritage Autavia, although I didn't really want to get rid of it, but I did get an Omega Seamaster Chronograph plus $1600. At first he told me $1400, but I was able to finesse $1600 since my Autavia was mint and came with the beads of rice bracelet which is hard to find since when the watch was made for only 2 years, and everyone chose the brown leather strap. The beads of rice bracelet added another $350-$400 and you couldn't get both when ordering it new. It was the BOR bracelet or the brown leather strap which most everyone opted for.
