My wife and I will be going out to Vegas in March for the 2022 NADA Show for an award I'll receive. I've never been to Vegas, not really my cup of tea to be honest.

Would I be better off renting a vehicle, or just using Uber/walking? We're staying at the Hilton at Resort World, and the convention is at the convention center about 1 mile away.

Thanks

Uber, my wife and I go about 4 times a year. If you have never been you may want to look into a show, make reservations now for at least one night for dinner.

My recomendations:

-SW at the Wynn
-STK at the cosmo
-Scarpetta at the cosmo

Uber, my wife and I were just there and road construction makes driving pretty damn unpleasant.

Rent a car if you want to get out of town. We always like spending a day in Boulder.

We won't have time with the convention to really get away. We'll either be at the hotel or at the convention center.

Uber for sure. I rented a car for a day to go to the Hoover Dam and thats it

I dont care much for gambling but the food and shows are amazing.

of the three steak places Ive tried I like Prime at Bellagio (make a reservation and bs whatever special occasion, ask for fountain view)

Giada's has amazing Italian, I'm not a pasta person for the most part but it was the best I've had.

Din Tai Fung @ Aria - I'd never had soup dumplings before but they were pretty amazing, everything there was very good. I think the 3 of us ate 6-7 trays of the pork soup dumplings on top of everything else

Of the shows I know currently going - O @ Bellagio would be my choice and it's better NOT to sit right up close as 1) you'll get wet 2) you'll be looking almost straight up over your head

The wife and I went to Gallagher's Steakhouse in the New York New York. It was pretty good.

Gordon Ramsay's Burger in Planet Hollywood was good too.

I'm pretty basic as far as shows. I like the Jabbawockeez and Blue Man Group.

+1 for breakfast at Peppermills
I usually go there twice while I’m in Vegas.

If you’ve never been, go to In N Out burger, at least you can say you tried it

Shelby Las Vegas museum and tour.

Any of the cirque du soleil shows is good, as mentioned above O is a good one, so is the Beatles Love at the Mirage.

You would be crazy to rent a car. Ive been MANY times, and taxi or uber is the way to go for sure. Bring great shoes, as walking is really the best way to get from hotel to hotel, to check things out.

Pointless renting a car.

Foot only IF you want to see a bunch of drunks and escort cards.

I rented a car in Vegas. Worked out great! We still walked a lot but the car gave us options. Drove out to the Hoover Dam etc.

I don’t like waiting around. First thing I did when we landed in Vegas was get a car. Then you can go wherever you want and don’t have to call and wait for an Uber.

Every time we go to Vegas, I walk 11-14 miles per day, and love it. If you want to go to old Vegas then a cab ride would be ok order. If you want to go out to the desert then a rental car is the way to go. If you plan to stay in Vegas only, no car needed.

Think I was 40 or so the first and only time I’ve been to Vegas.

Always thought it would be too much for me.

Not a gambler at all; took out $500 cash to gamble and went home with the same $500 in cash lol.

Just walking around and having drinks here and there was a cool. Lots and lots of stuff to see.

Went up in the stratosphere for drinks one night and that was fun.
