Hello all I am the happy owner of a red 93 cobra. I’ve wanted one for quite sometime and found one for a decent price and brought her home, the car has been modded a lot and I’m now trying to go through the car and fix or replace all the things done incorrectly. Honestly I know very little about pushrods engines, I own 3 mustangs currently but this is my first pushrod car. My issue here is a bad tapping noise coming from the driver head, so I pulled the upper intake and valve cover and discovered I have a lot of valve lash on 5 valves, about 25/30 thou of lash, the car has an e303 cam, stock heads, the previous owner built a 331 for the car but used the stock heads on a different ford block. My question is do I have pushrods that are two short or bad lifters? Any help would be appreciated!
