After swapping out spark plugs for the season I’m pretty sure i found my smoking on startup reason. My #5 cylinder valve stem seals are bad. Any way to replace without pulling the motor and removing the cylinder head? It’s the cylinder at the very front by the power steering reservoir on driver side. Thx

How does changing your spark plugs make you determine that your valve stem seals are bad?

When mine were bad there would be oil on the spark plug. Drive the car and pull the plug immediately after and they were clean. Wait over night and pull a plug and there was a drop of oil on it.

OP I'm sure it can be done, I did the entire pass side head with motor in the car, the ones that really sucked were cylinder #4 because it was under the cowl and the AC lines were in the way. Some seals things would go perfect on and I'd have the seal replaced in a matter of minutes. Others I would fight and hour at at time. I know Malcolmv8 did the entire set with his in the car.
