User CP how to subscribe to threads and forums

I finally understand the basic concept, but I noticed that sometimes when I post to a thread, it is not appearing in my user cp. Why is that?? I see that other times when I post they drop in there... is there a limit to the number of threads you can "subscribe to"?? What about forums, how do you subscribe to them?

You have to subscribe to every thread you post to by checking the box. I don't know if there is a limit to the number you can subscribe to...

If you use the quick reply box it will not subscribe you to the thread. You can subscribe to a thread without replying by clicking on the "Subscribe to this Thread" button below the quick reply box.
