I would be more than happy at that power level w stock block 93 octane tune and effectively running the 2.9 Whipple at its max.
I'm trying to reconcile the difference between a 5.4 GT500 and 5.8 GT500 w the 2.9. Really haven't seen many 13/14 cars w the 2.9 besides TORQJNKY on this site and he was using the 10% lower and 3.0 upper seeing 17psi. Seems the 5.8 displacement eats up the 2.9's capability pretty quick. I'm going to try the 2.7" UP which in theory should be worth 2psi over the 3.0. If true I'd then see 18psi and likely 725rwhp - 735rwhp on the Mustang Dyno which is roughly equivalent to 780rwhp - 800rwhp on a Dynojet. I would be more than happy at that power level w stock block 93 octane tune and effectively running the 2.9 Whipple at its max. I am surprised how much different the 2.9 acts on the 5.8 vs. 5.4 as this was not something I anticipated. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
