Just want to see if anyone on SVTP has one of these for sale. I've come across a few of them on Offerup and FB market for a good price but they got snatched up before I sold my previous radar detector.

They are available new.
Oh I know they are, but radar detectors are one of those products where you can save a lot of money if you buy used and get a pretty much like new item.
I've noticed people get these as gifts and get annoyed with all the noise they make and end up selling them. A friend of mine bought a V1 some years back for $140 from a women whose bf bought it for her as a gift but she didn't like it cause it made too much noise. I've seen R7's go for $200 so I just have to be patient.

I have an R3 in my daily. That thing has paid for itself just saving me from red light cameras alone. I just like having an arrow to tell me where the signal is coming from for cops.

get a V1 and call it a day.

I’m an escort fan myself. I like how you can lock out the false alarms and it remembers if you passed a false 3 times. On all my normal routes, if it goes off, it’s a cop. Has saved me literal thousands of dollars.

I still have my Passport 8500 (doesn't get used anymore). Used that through college while I was driving 35 miles one way to campus and back. That saved me thousands as well. I am 32 years old and have been driving since 15/16. I have never gotten a ticket *knock on wood* and I can honestly say it is because I've had a radar detector since I was in high school - my first one was a cheapy Cobra radar detector that was less than $100 at best buy or walmart. Once you know the common false alert spots (although the new one can lock them out) and that you should only way attention to KA and K, it becomes a great tool.
But the new ones have some nice features

I had an 8500 as well but it false alerts off of blind spot monitoring systems on nearby cars, so it had to go. I’m on the list for the redline whenever they start making them again…

Yup, that is mostly why it sits in a box now.
