No, you're not getting ahead on questions! It's all good! Some facts about Cobra braking. All New Edge Cobras, including 2000 Cobra R's, have insufficient rear brake bias from the factory. This was fixed on the Terminators. New Edge Cobras will typically go through 4 or 5 sets of front pads before the rear pads need replacing. Terminators are more like a 2-1 ratio. A larger rotor gives more leverage to the brakes. This increases braking efficiency and reduces heat. As far as the weight issue goes, tonight I will have to dig into my rotor weight pics and look for a stock Cobra rear rotor weight. I know I have one, it's just a matter of finding it. I think the weight of the two rotors will be close to the same. The aluminum hat saves a LOT of weight. I will try to get that later. There should be no need to make any changes with the proportioning valve on either car. The ABS will activate in any emergency stopping situation. For a street car or track car you are getting a nice benefit for either application. A street car is going to have some nice looking manly size brakes in the rear to match the fronts. The slotted zinc plated rotors and Hardcoated aluminum hats will add an aesthetically appealing look to your car. Track Dawgz get more braking in the rear which is especially important for New Edge vehicles. They are also getting more braking with out adding any rotating mass which is a huge bonus. If Terminator owners see too much rear brake on the road course with this kit they can simply dial back their brake pad compound a notch or two.:coolman::beer:
