Eaton Introduces New TVS® R3100 Supercharger for Aftermarket Applications Apparently Eaton dropped this little gem at "SEMA". 3.1L TVS.... This is going to be a hell of a rotor pack. With E85? This thing is going to be a wrecking ball, IMO. @[email protected] soooooooo when are we going to see a VMP TVS Gen 4? Stock GT500 TB pattern please! Great news, especially for 2020.
I'm glad I haven't had cash to buy a new supercharger then. Looks like a 3100 is going to be the blower for me. If the performance increase the 2650 had over the 2300 holds true with the 3100 over the 2650.... its going to be insane!
It'll probably be the next VMP Gen4 TVS, and you can make 800whp fairly easy with a Gen3 or Gen3R, I'm sure the 3100 will make insane power
wonder if the rotors are wider than the 2650. You could barely get the skinny allen head bolts on the 2650 on the shelby.
I would sure love to swap to a newer, bigger and better blower, I have an older 2.4 KB. Unfortunately no test drives though, she gets a little squirrelly.
I have to imagine someone could adapt a current blower for your car... maybe Turbos or a large centrifugal?
We’ll see. From everything I’ve seen, the Whipple has outperformed the VMP by a decent margin at the Gen4 vs 2.65. Time will tell. Sent from my iPhone using svtperformance.com
Monster. I look forward to VMP releasing the gen 4 only to offer the gen 4r 6 months later to **** over everyone who got the gen 4 non r
I think a base version Gen 4 will easily produce well over 1K RWHP on corn or race fuel with small pulley. I think an "R" version should be a ported case specifically for people putting these on dedicataed race cars like BPS' Beast. I only hope they dont do the ****ery that was the non stock TB pattern and WIDE monoblades that never worked correctly. Make a KB168 clone that bolts to a factory 07-14 GT500 TB pattern and you have a winner.
Yeah, I like the feel of a PD blower instead of a centri or turbos. I have yet to see anyone that has done anything with any of the modern PD blower unfortunately.
It will be interesting if kong or magnuson does something with this rotor pack for the LT5. 3100 ZR1 will be off the chain.
I'm very impressed with the TVS series. I had a hard on for Whipple for a while, had a fleeting thought about turbos. But the more I see guys hitting 1k rwhp with the 2650, I have to imagine that a true 3+ liter TVS 3100 will be an absolute monster no matter what its bolted to. I'll be very interested to see what the boost pressure looks like at the top of a pull. Hopefully it doesnt deviate too much from its peak boost.
