how is that transmission oil pump triggered? i assume it's not always on but just triggers based on rpm?
Yep, just not financially worth it. The T56 XL comes with SFI bellhousing, i get a much lighter and arguably stronger driveshaft and if I wanted, I could've gone with a more aggressive 1st gear. Those are huge perks.
You may have to clearance the shelid and bell to clear the heater core tube. Plan to replace throw out bearing if you keep the same 26 spline clutch, remoe trans cooler and lines. Besides that, pretty straight forward.Very cool, it's gonna change the car for the better big time. I'm getting ready to do the same. I have a quote from Modern Driveline, I'm going 2.97 first as I have the 3.31 gears. Who did you buy your kit from? Anything I need to watch for during the install?
