transmissing shifting

2008 f350 with first gen cummings with the smart ford tranny skips 5th gear and goes to overdrive has trouble down shifting and holding gears new billet torque converter and still same thing

2019 f150 1st gen 3.3 6r80 trans. Shifts fine through all gears and OD works great. No trouble downshifting or holding gears. Stock torque converter but Id expect a replacement wouldnt affect it.
