I don't have any pics, but I just towed mine a couple of weeks ago on a similar kind of trailer. I wanted to run the straps around the wheels, but the axle straps I have aren't long enough to wrap around the wheels. I have 24" and should've gotten the 36". For the front I ran the axle straps around the lower control arms up around where it mounts to the k member. In the rear I wrapped the axle straps around the lower control arm just inside where the shock bolts to it. I didn't cross anything I ran everything straight to the D rings.

Bingo! 36" that's it! Thank you. I know what your setup looked like now, and that is what I was planning to do. You answered my question about the wheel strap length. I've not measured wrapping it through my wheel yet, but I though 24" was probably to short. I'm hooking it down with 4 Erickson 10000 lb auto 7' ratchet straps. With 4 wheels strapped down, I wouldn't think it would go anywhere.

Going through the wheels will make things a lot easier. I was cussing at myself for not measuring as I was trying to fit under the car to get the straps through the control arms.

I go thru the front wheels with axle straps and onto the IRS A Arms with smaller axle straps. I cross the rears. If you do it right, the straps will not touch the exhaust.

Another thing I do, since my car is so low, I screw 2x6's onto my trailer deck for the tires to go on, that way I can open the door above the wheel wells on the trailer. Makes it so much easier to get in and out of the car with the door open all the way.

Good solution and nice looking car. The white with the parchment top looks sharp. With those rears maybe think about 2x12's

Maybe it's not the proper way, but I always transported it like this.

I just picked up an enclosed (last week) for a deal I couldn't pass up and I think I am going to be strapping it the same way.

This.

Except the way you got the front tied down through the wheels lol. I do the straps that go ontop the tire. But either works really.

Agree with others. Axle straps through the spokes to each d ring on front, cross the back and make sure you always go around and double check your corners after tightening everything down.

Do you guys leave it in gear? What about the e-brake? I left mine out of gear, but kept the e-brake engaged.

How does everyone that routes straps through the wheels keep from scratching them?

I would assume that even if you use a towel or something, that there will still be abrasion.

I've hauled my car twice now. Once on a Maxy air trailer and I strapped down off the lower control arms front and back. The second time the car broke at the track and it was hauled on a flat deck with over the tire straps. Hands down the best way to haul a low car is with the over the tire straps in my opinion. I have powder coated wheels tho so I'd never go through a wheel but that just me. For some reason all my pictures a loading sideways. These are the only ones I could get work

Do you mean just putting the straps through or after they're tight? When I put the straps through I was careful and didn't hit the rim. I never got a chance to tighten them down though.
