Hi,
Just bought my Mach 1 a week ago & I noticed every so often 3rd gear would lock me out, even trying to shift at 2k in normal “around town” driving.
I was working on the car & adjusted the clutch cable, took it for a ride & it refused to go into 3rd from 2nd. It will downshift into 3rd from 4th, and occasionally it will go into 3rd if I shift below 2k, but it’s unpredictable.
It’s not grinding or making any crunch noises in going into gear like my Wrangler does, that’s why I’m confused about what it could be.
I was going to drain & replace the fluid because I’ve read new fluid can help synchro issues, but what do you guys recommend for fluid? That Redline stuff seems to have good reviews.
