Just watched a youtuber by the name of JD joyrideTV do an upgrade on his built GT500 from a Whipple (not sure which gen) to the new VMP gen 3 2650, he stated that the VMP huffer not only matched the HP numbers that the Whipple put down but added an additional approx 100 ft lbs over what the Whipple produced, his final numbers for his combo on 93 oct was something like 776 hp and 776 tq. My question is why more torque from the TVS vs the TwinScrew? HP & TQ numbers are mentioned around the 10:30 mark approx and graph is at the 10:39 mark approx.

Different efficiency ranges. Ever seen what an compressor map looks like? Here's a 1.9L TVS blower as an example:

The roots style blowers normally always make more tq and starts at a lower Rpm vs the twin screw style. Its just by design that the roots make more tq. Normally the twin screw will make more HP. But with the new roots 2650 its more efficient than the whipple 2.9.
