I spent a fair amount of time in a friends Tundra last week. Glad that I did. It is large and lumbering. I am cross shopping with Raptors right now and there is 0 chance I would take a Tundra. It is inferior to my current ZR2 in every way.

You going to try out the RHO or want to wait another year or two before Ram gets most of the potential bugs out of the 3.0 HO?

That RHO is bad ass. Do want! I'll take the TT l6 10/10 times over the HC engine.

Everything ive read is that it's a stout piece. We'll see how she does out in the wild soon enough.

I am interested. There seem to be quite a few in stock locally.

Curious why you'd prefer the I6 over the HC?
Wagoneers and the new 2025 Rams and our mutual tow truck driver said he towed 3 or 4 for Enterprise in one week due to blown head gaskets.
Well at least on those, you only have to change ONE! lol

Straight 6's have an inherently smooth nature due to the even firing order. They are also incredibly strong, most of them having between 5 and 7 main bearings. Being twin turbo, this motor will be a tuners dream. I believe Berger Motorsports (JB4) got an additional 100whp out of their piggyback on a new Hurricane putting it close to 600whp.

The HO version is fully forged (pistons, rods, crank). HO pistons are also diamond coated and the top ring-land is anodized.

Fully dressed the Hurricane is almost 200 lbs lighter than the hellcat motor.

The Hurricane also uses ladder-frame mains which fortifies the bottom end even more.

Regarding the head gasket failures, the comment above is a complete anecdote. Ive not seen any threads on that (yet) so it would not be a long shot to say if it has happened, it is not common.

Pretty sure it was initially brought up by a tech who made a video as he was working on it and said it's been a big problem with the new engines. It was one that @Weather Man posted I believe. I was piggbacking off that with what I had seen.
