Found one or two old threads here but been a while. Curious if anyone has feedback on a combo like this at the drag strip? Still weighing options and this is what MM pushes. It’s clearly more expensive and heavier but not too concerned about it. Seems it would achieve a nice balance of street/strip with some quality double adjustable shocks/struts

My friend had a PHB in a vert, 302/gt40 twin turbos
There was zero left to right with that car, it was straight as a damn arrow, even if it was spinning… it would lay dead straight parallel lines.
Only input experience I have

we didnt get that far down into it yet as Im not sure on pulling the trigger on 6-7k worth of parts right now - they basically suggest the maximum grip box. I can delete a bunch of stuff but the double adjustable shocks/struts upgrade pretty much wipes out those savings.

this was their tech guy's email:

"All our cars are setup with a TA/PBA and no rear upper control arms. Like the car in this photo.

They are all a wheel/tire/swaybar settings away from a real street, auto-x/road racing cars. Not drag racing cars which are driven on the street.

They all also have stock un-reinforced torque boxes. Unless the car had them modified before we got the car.

I’m not sure we can help you out if you don’t want a TA/PBA. We don’t make any upper control arms as they are the cause of the mustang’s handling issues. They are also why mustangs can launch so well for so cheap. Until the chassis gets destroyed or the car is crashed when people try to do anything other than 60ft them on a drag strip."

the last part seems a bit a much but I get his point.

there was a thread on here from a guy with a solid axle swapped terminator running one but damned if I can find it again at the moment

If street strip is your thing and you drag race your car like you do the stock rear suspension 4-link with double adjustable shocks coil over and anti-roll bar is the easy answer.
It’s really never going to handle well without major efforts but if you’re going hard for that goal the MM PHB makes sense.
I run a lot of Team Z for street strip

this is what I was trying to find again the other day - it was really being built as a road race car and went to the strip. Looks like he ended up getting some mid-high 1.4 60s out of it

I probably wouldn't go torque arm if handling wasn’t top on the priority list. I think they ride worse on the street and the stock style 4-link seems to work better at the strip. Drag and handling are really at odds with each other as far as chassis setup goes. I had a mm max grip TA setup for awhile but only did 1/8mile and have never been much or a drag racer.

My Griggs T/A-PHB-coil over setup in my 98 Cobra rides amazing! I would never trade it for the stock setup. I have not gotten the chance to try it at the drag strip but for ride and handling hands down far superior to the stock arrangement imo.

There used to be a guy on here with an SRA swapped 99 Cobra that had a T/A set up. I think it had a P1 that was spun to hell too. I remember seeing his car at a couple shows. It seemed to work pretty well.
