tires up size on orig rims 03 cobra

What size tires can I upsize on my stock rims. Also do i need to modify suspension and will it affect handling

I've done Nitto DRs 315/35/17s on stock 17x9s. When I had IRS, no need to modify suspension. Back in '06 I believe, I got some AFS wheels like stock but 17x10.5s in the rear. They fit great and still do today on Nitto 555s.
