Im about to try to get some tires for my brembo rims because anything past 5k i lose traction and fish tail (tires are worn stockers). I know I need a dr but there are none that fit the rims. I thought about sending them off and having 1.5" added to them but thats not at the top of the list. I have a darkstars set so I dont need them for the track, just for the street. My other options that i have seen are the 275/35 nt05, 285/35 hancook v12 or Continental ExtremeContact DW. The last option is sell the rims and get some 20's. I just need something to hold the road and when I get on it. Havent been able to datalog due to this. Thanks for the help.

Get DR's period. Even if it's the NT05r's. Everything else is useless

I just went through this situation. Get rid of the wheels. I had to settle for 275/40. Throwing shorter tires on the rear is a no-go for me but if you dont mind then go with NT05's. I had them on my last car and cant wait to own a new set.

Glad I read this thread. Nitto is releasing some 305/30/20 in the NT05 soon. That will be a perfect size to upgrade my 295/30/20 toyos. Sweeet

Pay the money to widen the factory Brembo wheels and put some 305s or 315s on there. It will help so much more, because there are no tires out to fit Brembo wheels that will be worth a damn.

You have a point there...255s are just not enough, barely anything available in 265/40.... 275s are pretty popular but 275/35/19 = 26.579" tall (almost 1/2 inch shorter) and 275/40/19 = 27.661" tall (more than 1/2 inch taller)...

Sounds like some folks have gone 285/35/19 which are only .2" shorter than stock...but technically too wide for 9" wheels.

I've seen a picture of the Continental DW in 285/35R19 and they didn't budge much more than the factory tires. However, I don't know if the contact patch is affect at all or of those tires run smaller than others.
