tire sizes for 8.5

im gona be getting new front tires but im not sure what size to get. they are 18 saleens that are 8.5 wide. im running a 245/40/18 and i think i can go wider. maybe a 265/35? any ideas?

245/40/18 will look really stupid. The reason I know is the guy who I bought the wheels from had 255/40/18s on the 8.5s and it had no sidewall.

I have BBS 18x8.5s up front running 265s, it looks perfect.

i have 275 on the front and 285 on the rear n fits very well !
