My rolled fenders were fine for a few years. I pulled the wheels off to wash them and winterize the car about 2 months ago and noticed black rub marks on both rear fenders. Tires look ok. I drove through a dip in the road a few weeks before washing the wheels and I am thinking this is what caused the tires to bounce up into the fenders. My Cobra still has the stock shocks after 15 years coupled with HR racing springs. Car has about 25,000 miles on it. I have Toyo R888 305s in the back and 20mm spacers. Tires are about flush with the fenders - maybe a tiny bit past it. What is the best way to get the black marks off the fender edges? I was thinking alcohol. I'll take it to a body shop to get it cleaned up if necessary and definitely want to fix this so it does not happen again. My fenders are not rolled too aggressively.
