I’m heavy on the 350R sauce at the moment, but this is only as of recent when we finally took it to the track. imo the 350 is perfect for HPDE events. It may not be the fastest, but very well may be the most fun and satisfying to lap. The day we tracked it, I was back to back in the R and a c7zr1. Did four, 30 min sessions with Shelby; zero brake fade, the power, cooling, it was all there. I later passed on a session in the zr1 to drive the 350r again. they had to flag me off the track each session bc I didn’t want to come in. It’s a forgiving, but fast car. You can throw it around a bit, full throttle 2nd gear mid corner and not get loose, stand on the brakes with confidence....it was a blast. Honestly if we tracked it back in January, I would have a 350R in my garage now and not a 2nd terminator. But my Dad has one so its about as good lol! I don’t know much, nor have I even seen a c8, but the Vette, most certainty, Is better in terms of build quality, technology, balance, maybe even lap times. I don’t think you can go wrong with either, but they are totally different cars. With that said, about everyone I know is looking to get into a c8 right now or wait for the later trims. I think c8’s will become very common on the road, as they should be, but will lose some specialness. But, at the end of the day, the 350R is still just a mustang too to the average person, Just don’t buy an ATS-v :)
