[QUOTE="Robert M, post: 16424294, member: 9628"] Yes, I agree. I would not be into magnets coming apart or chipping either, and to be honest, I had not even thought of that!! When I first changed the plugs on my 2008, my first/main concern was not letting the gapped plug release from the socket and drop down in the deep hole........then I had issues with the rubber wanting to stay connected to the plug and the extension disconnecting leaving the socket on the plug wayyyy down in the hole stuck on the plug. Then I did the Black tape thing, taping the socket and extension together, but again it seemed like the rubber grip was stronger than the tape and the rubber plug retainer was still an issue. Then I started buying longer sockets to get the extension connection closer to the surface and with those longer sockets came one with a magnet and that worked Great and I have a nice long socket that comes all the way up and just above the hole, but then I still had to change extensions when working abound the S/C inlet and TB..........So now I am working with the tools I pictured above, and they seem to do the trick......But it was a long road of buying and trying.......
