Which way does the FLAT side of the thrust washer face? Does it face the BLOCK or face the crankshaft? Right now I have it so the flat side faces the block and the rounded oil grove side faces the crankshaft.

on pushrod windsors, the flat side goes against the block.
never built a mod motor, so don't know for sure about them but i expect it to be the same.

It's the same I found out. Groves TOWARDS the crank and flat side against the block.
