Recently picked up a low mileage Cobra ( 15.5k ) miles .. it has 2.3 Whipple, upgraded fuel pumps, injectors etc .. Car was dyno'd in 2008 and made 646HP ...

Obviously that was a long time ago .. and my thoughts were to get a re-tune, but that will cost be 1,000 bucks .. ..

Question - Do I just get an air/fuel gauge and make sure its not running lean ... or do I spend the 1000 bucks just for piece of mind .?

i know that tunes dont change, but gas does over time ...

Thoughts ...

Get a wideband and set up data logging capabilities. Then do a remote street tune w a reputable tuner. Prob cost a few hundred for remote street tune.

Why is it going to cost $1000 for a tune? That seems way high to me.

Either way get a wideband if the car doesn't have one. But I'd throw it on a dyno and have it checked for piece of mind. If you're not changing octane and the car is running fine why mess with it?
