[QUOTE="Comp04svt, post: 16219802, member: 73358"] I would definitely drive one and see if you like it over your cobra. That's the only way you'll know if it's what you want. From personal experience, I really like how the c6z's drive and perform. I've never owned one, however I am a chevy technician by trade. I'm "corvette certified" so I'm usually the tech that works on them primarily. Over the years I've driven plenty of them. From stock, to heads/cam/FBO cars, to blower cars, and various modded and stock ZR1's. The two are very different cars obviously, but they are very close in the form of driving enjoyment I would say. Both have their pluses and minuses. I would love to own one personally, they drive fantastic, and are very fun. They are relatively reliable cars aside from the heads, clutch hydraulics and rear diff chatter. But I feel the biggest downside to the Z for me is that there's no back seat, and I have 2 small kids that love car rides. I have always hated the seats in the Z compared to the cobra. They both use a ton of plastic, and both will rattle so I feel they are on par there. The other thing to consider is this. I've never been in one of these cars, that was able to get traction, lol. Regardless of tire choice. Probably the fact that most are running a low pro wheel/tire, some still on EMT tires, but they are light cars. So for me that's big too, because my car never has an issue with traction (power numbers in sig), and I feel anything smaller than an 18/19" wheel doesn't look great on those cars IMHO, unless you're gonna be on a bigs n littles setup all the time. Good friend of mine has an '08 Z fbo heads/cam/blower on E85. Car makes something like 750 whp. He wont do anything with it unless he's on the freeway. my 2 cents. Good luck with you decision!
