I'm trying to see how much material I've used up after 2 track days but am not sure on the thickness new. The one place I found something said 0.61in (15.5mm). Is that accurate and is that total thickness or just the pad material?

I'm assuming that's total thickness, but assumptions can be dangerous.

Go to the parts store and ask for a set of pads for your car, then measure those, but I would guess there will be a difference from one brand to another.

Go here and look up your car on the finder page: Parts Lookup

They'll show the dimensions of the pads in the search results.

Thanks. Based on the image below it looks like .61in/15.5mm is accurate and it is indeed for the total thickness, including the backing. Given the backing is ~7mm, based on my measurements, the pad material must be around 8.5mm when new.
