[QUOTE="Silverstrike, post: 16895293, member: 4781"] In Feb 25th I won an Island Assault box so I now have a 4th Bolt Action army that being Japanese it comes with a Type 97 medium tank and 24 infantry, so I am making them into a SNLF or Special Naval Landing Force or Japanese USMC. These are 2 3D printed Su Ki amphibious truck the Japanese was only able to make 198 from early 1943- 45 vs that with the American made DUKW at around 21,000 at the same time. Yes it actually was just a truck chassis mounted under a boat hull, sadly there is only one in existance and it is on some atoll in the Marshals Is. It was deemed to expensive removing it and the other vehicles there so they are all just slowly rotting away to nothing. The armored car is a 6X4 Type 93 the IJA Imperial Japanese Army had a 4 X 4 version same exact truck just that it had a 4 wheel set up. It was based off of a inter war Ford commercial truck chassis. So you ever see one or the other in actual photos you can tell exactly who it belong to and probably the units involved by seeing if it is a 6 or 4 wheeled version. In real life it had 4 machine guns and an option for a fifth, that little exhaust pipe at the rear of the turret is not a pipe but a pedestal mounting for a Type 91 or 96 MG for anti air defense.
