I would bet if you had the money today, you couldn't buy a ZR1 or GTD. But, in two years when the GTD is available for resale, you can buy a ZR1 or the GTD at that time.
That’s just it. Im not interested in buying used cars. I’d be able to purchase the ZR1 when it’s available new. I get what the mustang is it’s just not something I care much about.

You can't buy one this year though.

That made me laugh more than it should haha
Sometimes, the truth hurts; but a lie may be more comforting.
I am just being honest. I’m on a fixed income and fast cars are out.
Going fast just doesn’t feel like it’s worth the risk especially down here in south Florida where it feels like some sort of death race.

South Florida is wild with fast cars, more on the East side though.

Yep, a few roads are death traps the way some of these idiots drive. This is one of the reasons I rarely drive my car, and the traffic has gotten brutal, especially this time of year. Every third vehicle has a out of state tag. We have to run up to town later, and the traffic sucks. It never used to be like this.

I’m not necessarily talkin fast cars in relation to high end vehicles. I’m talkin about retards driving around like they just robbed a bank. All day. Every day. Mostly in shitboxes. Then there’s the old people that just shouldn’t be driving. You see them all over the place in medium strips where they plowed into palm trees and bushes.
All day.

Don't forget to add store fronts where they hit the gas pedal by mistake. Mistake my ass, just old blue hairs.
Did you see the story where a drunk guy carjacked a van at a holiday inn and then smashed into a gym with it up on Bonita Springs?
That’s my gym. Glad they opened another branch down here in Naples.

Regarding the weight of the GTD and why Ford had to finally give in and admit to it...

It began on a stormy night in mid-1964 when an extremely hot lady (probably a brunette) knocked boots with a dude that was likely even more suave than your favorite version of James Bond. The resultant offspring has grown to be inquisitive as **** and into boring detail when it comes to cars. And I really like the GTD so I have followed the program very closely.

Ford has definitely raised eyebrows and interest via the essentially parallel, GT3 car. Both programs have been gaining momentum and attention. But the one thing that I didn't want to see was a lack of transparency of sorts when it came to specifics. That being, the holding back of an official weight figure. Crickets. It is one of the most important elements of performance, where less is more and weight begets weight. We all knew the GTD was gonna be a big momma and Larry Holt intimating that it is was roughly GT500 weight should give you a pretty good idea as to just how big. The sub seven minute time Ford achieved at the Ring was attested to but still no look at the scale. It was then I started looking for what I knew had to pop up fairly soon but remained buried quietly and not declared and thus not reported on.

I started looking at CARB's site because in order to be sold in California (and the other 17 retarded states that cuck to Gavin) it would have to have a certification in hand. A screenshot of what to click on in the link that follows...

Only problem that is it has yet to show up under the Ford listing. Normally, they do. The 5.2 Raptor certification is there as are for the 5.0 Mustang. No GTD 5.2 though.

So I started looking through the EPA website, so bad only an unsolvable **** of a labyrinth would be proud. It dawned on me that it was just a reflection of the multiple layers of costly bureaucracy we see everywhere but I knew it would be there. Somewhere. The search Gods felt sorry for me apparently and finally shed some light...

Buried in the cert - BOOM, she's a heffer!

To stave off having to explain a number of test details that I thought would create confusion I just posted a few pages from it. On the page above, for example, HP is listed at 800. That was what Ford was running with at the time and it was revised at a later date. The "4-wheel drive" drive mode while testing was just that and not an error claiming the car would be 4WD. And just to be clear, there is a federal definition for curb weight. Buried in the Code of Federal Regulations, I found it...

So full tank of gas, the 2025 GTD is 4,343 lbs. Ford finally had to show their hand and confirmed. Ha! Autoweek penciled me in for credit.

There's more to the finding that I'd like to discuss. In the meantime, I noticed people were either copying/pasting a link to what I dug up or just posting images I had weeded out on other websites. I mentioned to a good friend that some internet based auto site would pick up on it and they did. I found it on Mustang 7G, Reddit, TrackMustangsOnline, Road&Track, and elsewhere.

My intent wasn't to coddle my finding and extract a toll but rather because I knew that once it was exposed that Ford would have to admit to it. Transparency, DOGE-style. I don't know why but when I saw other people being credited for uncovering it I was kinda bothered. Seems nobody takes the time to follow links through to even see where something originated from. At least Autoweek had the integrity to be honest and detailed about it (kudos AW).

Anyway, somebody said to me that I likely cost Ford money and I'm only 50% certain it was said in jest:). I'll be brutally honest, I don't wanna gloat if somebody's dream was shattered - they were gonna be told eventually. Maybe better that they learned of it prior to committing to pay for it.

That is the true story as to why Ford finally gave up on hiding just how thicc their latest megadollar, track star was.
Would love to be a fly on Farley’s office.

“Who the **** is this epiphany/tob character”?

Well done my friend. Transparency is good for all.

FL is elfin nuts everywhere. Our mail carrier is out of commission after being hit head head on last week by an old lady on too many meds. My understanding is that she'd hav been killed if she was sitting on the left side of the truck.

An 18 year old who lived in our neighborhood hit a truck at the entrance to our subdivision on his sport bike two months ago. Killed instantly. It was his fault, but still.

And the traffic is so bad that the only time I'm able to actually reach the posted speed limit, even on I-75, is from 2200 - 0500. Otherwise it's 10 mph under or stop and go. Zero point in having a fast car, which sucks.

I-75 is totally normal compared to I-95 in south FL. Yesterday drove from Moda Miami (Corral Gables) up to Palm Beach on 95. What a miserable drive. And think, I'm likely going to have the GTD delivered to us in FL......

I bet the concierge team is busy this morning, taking calls, and not able to really answer the questions about the tariff ....

Oh, I'm sure. I reached out to my lady and told her I was in a holding pattern for a couple of weeks to see how this all shakes out.

Unfortunate situation. I was offered to be very early, I declined (might have gotten luck there). Hopefully things get sorted soon.

And if you missed the latest WEC action in Qatar, the #77 Proton Mustang GT3 had a bit of a fire issue...

Been way too quiet. Is it a looming tariff that has everyone saying they won't get one if price takes a major hit?

Anyway, looking forward to more detail about what Ford has been up to with the GTD as of late.
