I`m excited for you Bud. I remember when you first bought the old girl. Good to see her in the sun. Still got my Y2k Sixer, you got any kits laying around yet? lol I`ll bolt one on. Mysteed what a Blast from the past, Glad to see your still playing the Pony`s.
Yeah it's been a long road with this old gal. No kits left anymore for the M112 though. I got tired of all the kids saying they wanted kits then never coming through with payment.

Well today marks ten years of me owning this beautiful machine. I have been through some ups with the car and a LOT of downs. I've thought about selling it and I've seriously considered burning it to the ground at times (just kidding...sort of). With that said I would do it all again in a heartbeat. This car holds a special place in my heart and my collection. Other Mustangs will come and go but this one will stay.

I haven't made much progress with the car since I towed it back home thanks to COVID and my work schedule. I have found some time between the craziness to reinstall the interior and I have started on a game plan to get the wiring fully tucked and hidden.

I have made some progress but not much from my last post. I have gone in a different direction than my original plan with the valvecovers and have done a good bit of the wire tuck. I update more regularly on my Instagram at #mysteedgarage so this thread is a but overdue for some pictures. I should have some time in the next few weeks to knock out a few more things on the list.

Badass man, glad to see you restored the car the right way, I’m still looking for another BaB...
Yeah it's still in process since life seems to always get in the way. Good luck with your search, they seem to be going up in value lately and are getting harder to find.

So since the last update I had not touched the car and it's been sitting collecting both dust & spare parts. Today I finally got off my butt and got the brakes done.

I initially attempted to drill out the spindle holes to use the factory bolts but that seemed to take FOREVER. So I placed an order with S&S Engineering to get their caliper relocation pieces. Now I decided to use 2014 Cadillac XTS front calipers and 2014 GT500 14" front rotors & the kit that S&S sells is for using the ATS calipers with the factory rotors so I knew that a little massaging would likely be required.

What I ended up doing was shaving the inner "lips" of the calipers as they came into contact with the rotor face. I also had to clearance around the caliper where it mounts to the spindle in order to get it flush. So with using the S&S kit caliper bolt relocation pieces and provided 3mm spacer between the rotor and hub it fit like a glove. Also due to clearance with the wheel I used another 3mm spacer between the wheel & the rotor.

edit: Yes know the caliper is upside down, they are on there for mockup purposes and will be coming off for cleaning before final install.

Thanks fellas. It feels good to work on the car again. Today was just doing a few odds and ends, putting the MGW shifter back on the trans, and getting the intake adapted and on. I ended up using a spare MAF bracket, cutting the tabs off of it, making a temporary bracket to hold it to the timing cover (which should keep it from rubbing the fender), and throwing on a spare K&N filter I had laying around. If this works well I'll make a more permanent bracket to hold the intake.
