After much research into the reason why oil fed turbos fail, with help from Precision Turbo, I think we've narrowed down the root cause.

Stop using orifices in the oil feed line.

Is that paraffin build-up? What is the preferred way to decrease the pressure/flow if you are pushing past the seal?

To broad a statement, I have used restrictor's without any issues. That is a pretty small orifice, though.

I've only owned one turbo vehicle in my life. But I've been on the forums a long time and seen quite a few turbo builds. This is the first time I've seen a blocked restrictor. I'd be curious to know the particulars that lead up to that. Like what the engine shut off right after making a ton of boost, was the oil too heavy, etc.
