Looks like very cold air coming in on back side of incoming central USA storm. This is chart on 10th Jan.
Is that uncommon for this time of year? I just looked and the forecast for the 10th here is 67 and sunny.

Ice Storms suck. Last one no power for 2 weeks
We need the moisture in central Kansas, preferably in the form of a slow melting snow and not a 0.2" covering of ice that will wreck our trees and power lines.
That said I've been waiting to get the power knocked out so I can run the house off the Powerboost for 3 years now....

Snowing now at my place. Windy af too.
It's 56, sunny, and no wind here. Right on par for this time of year. I'm doing yard work this afternoon after getting some gold fines and crushed granite.
Models hinting at a wicked Nor'easter running up the East coast in a week.

I haven't heard of anything long range either. It is supposed to be fairly cold for a while though so we'll see.
