I love me some military aircraft....all of 'em. Can't think of a single one I don't like. Of course, my all time favorite is the blackbird:

But I also love F15s, F16s, and A10s:

Let's see 'em!

Also, thanks to anyone who flies, arms, maintains, or otherwise works with these glorious beasts. I envy you all, some times.

When I still lived in WA state a blackbird was flying at the air shows. Damn thing looked like a pencil when it was banking. You'd almost lose sight of it if you weren't tracking it. My favorite too.

Nice! kool thread! I grew up in Northern CT where they had A-10's stationed at the National Guard and use to see them weekly and they would fly so low. It was just awesome watching them dip down and make quick turns at such low altitudes.

A10's are stationed at the national guard base/airport here. See them flying every day.

I was a F/A-18 electrician for several years back in the mid-90’s and it’s still one of my favorite jobs. Just having an opportunity to work on something like that was cool as shit. Years and many new friends later, most of the guys I knew ended up flying: college friends ended up in a Cobra and another in a CH-53. A third college friend became a EA-6 Prowler NFO. Roomates in Virginia ended up in a F/A-18 and the other flew Harriers before transitioning to the F-35. I can promise you it was hard to not be envious.
