It has arrived…

Hopefully this will help better consistency with distance control where it really matters the most.

I bet Hawk Tuah girl’s first pitch was a spitball.

Played a round yesterday, took 6.75 hours to finish. We ended up with a 3 hour rain delay after 3 holes.

Averaged 1.9 putts per hole with the new putter which is an improvement. The more impressive part was that I did this averaging about 15 feet for the first putt. Two three putts, both were stupid mental mistakes where I should have putt where I was at off the green versus trying to chip.

Playing a par 3 tomorrow just as a short game workout.

Next round is in two and a half weeks in Mexico.

Bought a new driver, Titleist TSR2. Managed to put a sky ball mark on it....

I fixed it today . This driver hasn't helped my bad swing, but when it's hit flush, it's the best feeling driver I've hit yet.

Got to see my buddy play his best round of a 84 yesterday!

I did manage to hit one 277 yards. But more bad ones which have been the bottom of the club head hitting the top of the ball.....Then it only goes 50 yards....

Also, PXG is an amazing company. I put a dent on the outside and just for kicks I wanted to see if anything could be done. They warranteed it! Sent me a gen 4 because mine was old... I'll probably leave it wrapped up for now because I'm liking the Titleist.

Last picture is my buddy checking out the yardage on my drive. His is the closer one at 265 yards.

The land of commies and socialists!
Finally got 9 holes in today. Maybe the 3rd round I've played all year IIRC.

Shot a 43, 7 over par. Pretty damn good all things considered. I only hit 3 bad shots.

My distance control was terrible as was my putting as expected. I had two looks at birdie but from 40+ feet through multiple breaks. Didn't even get them close and 3 putted.

Blasted my 3 wood 270 ish off an elevated Tee box right into the middle of the fairway. That hole should have been a par at the least but I screwed up my second shot.

All in all a good 9 holes. Pretty impressed with myself.

Forgot to post these.

Vidanta Norman Course in Nuevo Vallarta was incredible. Shot 17 over which was not bad considering my preround routine was ****ed which made me mentally struggle early.

The highlight was a 335 yard drive down the center of the fairway. The caddie was shocked at my distances on the day. He even said that if I was consistent, I’d be dangerous. lol.

The course was super long, 6700+ yards and I was two boxes up from when they play the Mexico Open. The greens were fast and man you could get wrecked on some holes with poor control. I watched one of the guys I was playing with make a, what seemed great, chip that land 5 yards above the hole and rolled 25 yards downhill off the green. And he was not chipping downhill. I only three putted twice which even the caddie said was damn good for a first timer.

What a course!

I've been hitting them longer than ever this year! A blistering 48* zero wind. 14 yards shy of the green on this par 4. Did manage a birdie.

That sounds like the greens on the new PGA headquarters over here near my house. They are all basically a square shape but shaped like a turtle's shell. If you hit anywhere but the center of the green, it's another 25 yard chip shot on all 18 holes of the west (easier) course.

I tried golf a couple of years ago down here in Naples. I hated it.

Shot a 88 my first time out.

Yous guys should post a videos of your swings so I can see how you do it.

I shot a 88 for 9 holes and cheated.
I don't have a nice golf swing . It's definitely a hard game, especially the mental side of it....

But for some reason it comes natural for some. I've golfed for a long time. Use to play left handed. Believe it or not, I still putt left handed because it works well.

I golfed the other day at a 9 hole course, I was a member there many years ago. Back when I golfed left handed. I could never hit a driver left handed.

I finally drove the green on hole 9, which has always been a dream. You have to clear a creek which is probably 230-240.

Ended up on the back of the green. First picture is showing the ball past the back side of the green.

Ended with a disappointing par though.

Floated around Sunday morning with my normal golfing buddy and my pops at his home course. Shot a nice round for myself of +18, my best so far this year at that course. Much tougher than my home course, requiring course management shots more than just outright distance, something that's not very common on central kansas courses.

One more week of Wednesday night golf before time change knocks me back to 3 rounds a month instead of 3 rounds a week. Winter sucks (n)

Final wednesday night round of 2024 was cold, wet and squishy. 3/4" of rain over the late morning and afternoon meant cart path only golf. Shot 8 over on my local track through 9 holes. Really didn't have the putt pace with the wet greens.

Scheduled my wedge fitting for this winter as well. Time to upgrade the sm8 Vokeys

One more round this coming Sunday morning before the golf cart gets pulled apart for a navitas/eco swap, paint job and new wheels. Should be a sweet little ride next year!

Played two rounds last week.

First was at Amelia River Club. The highlight of the day was a 270 yard tee shot with the 3W, carrying water that landed just on the back of the green. Made birdie, just missed the eagle
Putt. The course was wild, a lot of wind gusts that just were brutal at times. Downside was tweaking my back on 16.

Second was with my manager that I could not finish the round. My back got so bad, I could not rotate properly, I could not finish the round. I was getting that metallic taste when your nerves get angry.

Gonna take a break for a while to rest the back.
