    I agree.

I will have to say that I tried and tried to buy a new GT350. I just can't pay over MSRP. The new 2019 PP1 (I don't need the PP2) is a perfect car for me. It has 50% more HP than my 1995 Cobra R and a much better brake and suspension package.

My old vintage 1965 Mustang car was really good on the eastern race tracks with many podiums and Championships. This is at Sebring:

So love the look of your coupe. And it looks like you are racing in the rain...braver than I am but I guess back there you are used to it. This is my car in sunnier weather. 159 turn 4 Willow.jpg

I think the mods are hurting you on that car. Most R buyers are looking for an original car. I'm seeing a cold air induction and if the OEM parts are gone, that is expensive to correct. Belts, welded in rollcage, the aluminum panels. The black air dam also isn't original. I also think the dark rims are really hurting you.

Yes, you have a great looking car. Just asking about your race car and when it was on the podium at a major racing event like Watkins Glen? :D

I am the tall guy on the right on the podium:

I would agree with you on the modifications taking value away from the car. The purists would certainly want a completely stock one. And there are some available but for more money. The alum panels are easily taken out and the stock carpets are underneath...can't verify but its what I have been told. Some have mentioned the splitter in black. That would have to be repainted. I have no info on the availability of the plastic intake runner. No one has brought that up yet. I'm not sure just what advantage the alum runner would have over the plastic. As for the rims...that is such a personal thing...sure chrome is stock but personally I love the look of the dark rims on almost any kind of muscle car. Thanks for your feedback...much appreciated.

Chrome rims are not stock, plain aluminum wheels are.

The stock wheels on a 00R are painted silver.

    Good luck with these cars.

I have no clue why, but the values are where they are.

As a value money manager, I like looking to buy soon since the rarity will be important one day.

No, the one in NJ was number 49, she had around 1400 miles. This is #55.

Very fair buy price. I think many guys that had a poster on their bedroom wall are buying now.

I just returned from Amelia Island (basically a big car show with auctions). I talked to a lot of guys that were in high school during the Cobra R years (I wore an old Cobra R t-shirt one day).

It was a great sunny FL weekend with lots of great cars. Here:

    Very cool!

I run across quite a few people online and in person that lust after the 2000 Cobra R, which is pretty cool since these cars are 19 years old now. Even with all the advancements in Mustangs through the years, the 00R is just a different and special animal. I was surprised by the sales price, but I know the seller... his cars are fantastic. I think we will continue to see strong demand for the red finned one.

I want to build a Cobra R clone. Then I wont feel bad gutting it, doing an engine swap, and then blowing minds at the track just for fun.
