So many good oils out there. I think Shell have the most rounded lineup out there and will serve 98% of us. Wide range, and all have great NOACK scores. Penz platinum ultra all the way down to Quaker (budget line). What do you think about Castrol scores?

I used Castrol GTX for years in my old Jeep 4.0, but that thing could run forever with anything in the sump.

At this point in my motorsports enthusiasm I would stick with Amsoil or Red Line.

Correction, only Pennzoil Ultra Platinum 10W-30 has a good NOACK score to compete with the best. Nothing else they manufacture does. Good luck finding anything else on the auto parts stores shelf with base oils so pure, then NOACK is low. I consider less than 8% low. Everything on the shelf is 10% and up (Except the formulation from Pennzoil previously mentioned).
