Towing updates from the last 2 weekends. Reminder: coming from 2015 3.5 eb f150 max tow which we love and still own. Wow. I mean wow. What a difference. Towing our 5k boat is like I have a lawnmower trailer attached. Stability is insane. Truck suck virtually gone except for the a hole in a Chevy with 2 wheels of his 40’ gooseneck horse trailer over the line lol. The 10 speed is unreal. You’re always in the right gear, and the force multiplication in it is amazing. I pulled the boat up the ramp at 1500 rpm like it was nothing. I’m at ~1800 miles on the truck. Hoping the mpgs increase as break in continues. Lifetime 11.7 mpg, towing is 9. F150 did around 10.5 towing the boat and 9-9.5 towing the camper. This brings me to towing the camper. We keep ours in storage about 5 miles from the state park where we camp. I did not set my WDH up yet. Just used the 2 5/16” ball because it was a short trip and for once not too windy. Holy moly. Granted these are ideal towing conditions but it was very stable. Can tell a huge difference and certainly feel safer in the 250. No sway, brakes are strong, Godzilla is smooth and powerful. If you tow a lot, do not hesitate to go to the 3/4 ton platform. My wife commented on how smooth and stable it felt as a passenger within about 10 miles from home when we first hooked up. It’s that good
