That's the other problem. Not only will it be expensive, but dealers will mark them up. F that.
Yep. I have said it many times. In all my years of car buying Ford dealers have consistently been THE greediest out there by far. I have never had an issue buying a Corvette or a Camaro for MSRP, or in most cases less, and the GM dealers I have dealt with do not have the same holier than thou arrogance the Ford ones do.
It's cool, something different without too much sunk cost.
I don't get why people are trashing Ford for digging in the parts bin and piecing together something a little different. If they developed a brand new platform as often as y'all expected, they'd go bankrupt sooner than they may already... Some people just don't understand product development, supply chain, and manufacturing.
Collectively, Ford and Ford Performance have received 60,000+ likes on their IG reveal picture... im not convinced they're worried about the 10-20 (or even 100) negatives they get here.

The white ones wheels are badass. I like it more than the bullitt. If I was going to buy a 5.0 Mustang I would get the white Mach 1 but at the price point it wouldn’t make sense not to buy a gt350. The upside is you probably don’t have to add a case of oil a month in the Mach lol.
Trust me, as I said earlier, guys in here like it but when they see that price they are going to go ape shit. I don't think it is too much to ask that if you are going to charge a premium for the car, make it worth the money. Slapping the name on it doesn't make it worth it. Its all in the price...we shall see.
I LOL'd at the oil consumption comment. Also, the first thing I noticed is the wheels on the white one. I'll take 4 for my car, please! Take my money! LOL
It would have been nice for it to be 500 hp, but I like it.
As far as dealers asking over sticker, it always works out. If you don’t have to be the first person to have one, you’ll usually get the price you want in a few months. Idk how many times I’ve seen dealers asking $10 k over for a semi-special edition only to be begging for someone to buy it below sticker months later.
it requires these wheels and hood
Hmmm... Not too excited about this version. Looks like a bean counters idea to drop the GT350 and the Shelby name( and royalties) and make more margin on a regular GT.
Sounds like it's getting the Tremec TR3160, which is good.
Edit: I agree with others that it will depreciate like a GT. Should be able to pick one up 3 years old for ~half price.

I'm sure it's only getting the Tremec because they on contract with Ford for X-units over X-years.
Great way to burn up some contract requirements.
I don't mind what Ford has come up with but this rendering is much better (unfortunately). The pony with the 3 stripe bar is classic. The wheels are much better than what Ford came up with and the hood is also much better. I guess my takeaway is that this Mach is not bad but could have been much better
I like it visually including the base wheels, but except for the hood stripe. Why the hell do you have 2 '69 Mach 1's pictured when the hood stripe looks like it is directly based off the '71 Mach 1. I would have much rather seen the hood black out treatment at least go past the hood vents to the cowl line of the hood which would have A) looked better & B) been more directly related to the 2 '69 cars they pictured the new ones with.
If the pricing comes in around where the Bullitt is now then okay, I can deal with that & would have interest.
If this thing comes in at where the GT350 is now though then GTFO Ford & keep dreaming.
Considering my very first Mustang was a 1971, I will be interested. 351 C. Hurst 4 speed. Crager deep dish rims, Hooker headers. huge Hayes clutch. Although my back seat flipped down, my knees still have marks in them from "being on top" and hitting my head on the headliner. Many nights, many girls, those were the days !! lol
Standard mach1 is a turd, style wise. Appearance package mach1 is killer looking, although, missing the shaker hood.
Would drive the wheels off the appearance pkg Mach.
Not bad, Ford.
So since the Mach 1 is the "most track ready Mustang ever created" does that mean Mach 1 > GT350R?
Of course the nicest looking one doesn't have an auto available! Should of had the 5.2 or even better 7.3 for a Cobra Jet! At least the 6 speed is a Tremec. Figures Ford would kind of mess this up. Shaker hood true Mach 1 also.
I am almost afraid to see how bad the FU the Bronco also!
So it’s really a PP3
The all-new Mustang Mach 1 is set to become the most track-capable 5.0-liter Mustang ever.
Missed that. LOL
Such a lame statement
