So while the blower is off, I have a lot more room and noticed how all the old factory harness tape is falling apart. Bought some high temp Tesa tape and I’m about half way done taping the engine harness up. I think it makes it look much more clean and organized.

Thought I’d share

I believe the tape you're usin is 51036 tape which is high heat.

I have used both the 51036 and the regular Tesa Tape and of the 2 I like the 51036 better.

For anyone wondering what the big differences are besides heat rating the regular Tesa tape is a little fuzzy, has a different pattern and is easier to tear.

Looks great.

I used this on my Bullitt to stop the ends of the tape from unraveling and to keep them tidy.
This brand, Star Brite, is Made in USA. Comes in various colors.

Nice work! I did a lot of research on this when it was time to re-wrap the engine harness in my Cobra. Any tape with adhesive will eventually fail when exposed to engine heat or frequent power washing. Fabric tape will eventually collect dirt and grease when used under the hood. The consensus was to use self-fusing silicone tape, which is what most OEMs use.

Tesa tape is amazing stuff. They have two types, the fuzzy type being for the interior which is designed to reduce rattles and noise and the high heat grade for exteriors/engine bay. The high heat stuff is really strong stuff and does a great job repelling fluids as well. I re wrapped all the wiring in my car with this stuff.

I want to take my harness off like that! There was a pigtail for the temperature sensor I couldnt get through a bracket the other one seems to be going down the bellhousing.

Looks Great!
