You've got a point there. When that guy said this was his second time at the track and he ran a 10, I was amazed. the damn car even does the burnout for you!!!!!!
lol, I don't think one person on this forum ever said these two cars are the same in any way shape or form. I for one would never categorize my 04 to be in the same league as a 2020, and I have no problem whatsoever saying I own a terminator. As a matter of fact when I tell people I own and 04 cobra people can't ask me enough about it and ALWAYS tell me how much they love this year and how badass they are. And my car attracts more attention than any riced out GT of any year.
If I wanted to be slow I would buy a Chev.... This thread is incredible. Like high tens/low elevens is some kind of magic pixy dust. Me thinks the OP is going to get his feelings hurt lots in his 90k Mustang. That is if he takes it out of his garage ever.
OP could probably give 2 craps on how much he spends on anything.... Seen his setup? 2020 is setup to be a road car, twists and turns. blah blah. I've hurt feelings on 325k lambos / ect.... They don't care cause they know i can't afford one... If you had the money to blow on a 90k car you would brag also.
Why not consider the value too? If somebody was to trade up rather than mod up, they would absolutely use their trade/sell value in that equation.
You're right, not the same. Equal or better Congrats but... attention, while well deserved, isn't any measure of performance. The topic is Terminator & 2020 GT500 performance, right? And why even mention a GT here?
Man, you guys are funny for sure. Have me cracking up. However, I think Goose can make the comparison because he "OWNS" both. It's like if you were banging Cher and Cindy Crawford. You would be able to say which is better and why. Then you could tell your friends to stop banging Cher and get with Cindy Crawford because she is younger, faster, more flexible and can go longer and harder ROFLMAO!!!!
It’s a ****ing comparison the way I read it. Get over it. Had he started it in the 2020 section it would be the same. Damn car hasn’t even hit the streets yet besides mag testing and playing.
No where near the cost of a new 2020 GT500. I just paid 27k for my car. I put 10k in suspension + shop time. Spent 5k for the Whipple 2.9 GEN 4. Spent 7k on complete fuel system and other engine components and tuning to get the car ready for the Whipple plus install. = 48k On a stock block @ 17lbs of safe boost and have the potential of so much more if I want. Went from 390hp crank To 808hp crank or 701hp @ the wheel. I knew all I was getting with the cobra. Really good bang for your buck and can keep up with just about anything. The new stangs are always trying to catch up to me to get a look. Yes, I don’t get the creature comforts of a new car, but I didn’t care. That wasn’t a concern, it was about pure raw performance. This is coming from someone who got out of a 2017 GT350. Both are great cars. Just saying the cost is nowhere how much a new GT500 will be. Can’t wait to see what that car is truly capable is. Just seen this on YouTube. What the hell? This guy looks like he is 12 and picking up a 2020 GT500??? He also mentions he has a 2014 GT500 and a GT350. Damn, guess I should be working harder to afford all those high-end Mustangs LMAO!!! Not sure I like it all black. Needs some color IMO ……….. Also, don't think I would have drove it 2000 miles home. Too many rock chips doing that.
He drove it straight down to my neck of the woods and ran it on the dyno (numbers not yet released) as well as the drag strip. He was able to go from the dealer to the strip with no mods and run a 10.66.
