Hih 30's too low 40's while driving, that way the condenser is getting plenty of air through it. Idling will probaly be in the 50's, A/c removes heat from the space that you are trying too cool down, it doesn't just add cold air. If your car is super hot and your idling it will take longer to cool. Freon also last hundreds of years so if you need to add gas, then you got a leak.

Thxs. Yea my car had some front end damage, and I just picked it up last week. When I turn the car off I can hear a slite ssssssssss not loud, though. I'm taking it in Friday to have them check the freon level...
