I had posted that my 2012 gave up the ghost. I had received a lot of suggestions to go with a 2015 bottom end since really my goal to make 750ish and have a mild manor street car. I was looking for pros and cons of this. Thanks for the help

Why not just go with Manley rods and forged pistons?
Factory Rods are weak sauce and living on borrowed time at that power level.
havent you already grenaded 2 stock motors? Doesnt seem like you're one that should be putting in another motor you're gonna push toward the edge. Do it right once and be done
Like I said in the previous post, the first motor I want to put up to early defects as it blew up in 2011/2012 with the famous "#8"Use a 15 block. However, if you've grenaded two motors....who's doing your tuning?
Our shop routinely cranks them up to 800-900whp without issues. Hell my girls car makes 672whp on stock boost, stock tb, and pump gas. If we put her on corn it'd be close to 750.

As for who tuned the second motor I won't state as I can't really put the blame on the tuner and won't drag anyone's name down on a car that I beat the **** out of. I revved this car to the moon(shocked I didn't kill a OPG) and I raced this car hard....HARD. So I would prefer to not state who tuned it as I was super hard on the car. As for my new tune, Adam from Rev Auto(local) will be doing my tune on ethanol.
Absolutely am, now if I drove this car like a nun and never revved it past 5000 I would have some concerns. But that wasn't the case so bashing a tuner isn't my game. Like I stated, I AM seeking other tuning options.Right on. As long as you know the rougher you are on your shit the more likely it is to break
But the 15 blocks had the 13-14 boss guts in em, with some upgrades. So <900whp you'll be fine on stock motor, with corn.
Tuner is picked, I don't think anyone will doubt rev auto's tune. And money isn't "tight" per say, but spending $8,000 on a motor when I want new siding, front door and garage re done seems I can spend that money smarter elsewhere. Now if I still lived at home this wouldn't be a question lol700-800whp is not a problem for the 2015+ block. Given your goals, that is probably the most economical way to go. I would even try to find a low mileage used one if the money is tight. Like was previously mentioned, get a better tuner.

And for now it's going to be the same FBO killer. The car flat out worked on the old setup.
This new motor will get OPG's and I will slowly sleeve and build the block in the car and when the time comes I will go twins/400 with a brake and see what it will do lol

Is the car auto now? Or stick?
Still a stock MT82. While I have the motor out I am having the trans done. The guys that have seen me drive on this page know I love to no lift shift it and it's held up. So I am going to do pads, syncros and whatever else Ben does. Im' going to inspect the clutch and see what we can make happen.
you've been through two motors and are still on the stock MT-82 no lift shifting? That's backwards hahah
Ford put one in under warranty, I put a syncro in the current one 2 years ago. The night the motor broke the trans sounded like a PD blower car. So I think it's on its way out but I got my money out of this trans haha
But 9/10 times my foot doesn't leave the floor haha
good god hahaha props  Why TH400 over 6R80?
